A three-movement work for wind nonet, (2-1-2-2+2 hns.) featuring the oboe as soloist. Commissioned by Florida State University for conductor Dr. James Croft's retirement concert in 2005. Performed here by a wind ensemble conducted by Dr. Croft.

DIVERTIMENTO FOR WINDS
Third Movement
POOJA (Offering)
A three-movement work for Indian musicians and Western chamber ensemble. Commissioned by National Musical Arts in 1998, and premiered that year at the Getty Center in Los Angeles under the composer's direction. Each movement represents a different approach to incorporating an Indian raga into a Western musical scheme. It is scored for a trio of Indian musicians, together with oboe, percussion, piano and string quintet. Performance recorded at the premiere.
